每年的农历五月初五，是端午节。端午节是中华民族最隆重的传统节日之一。我非常喜欢端午节，因为可以吃到美味的粽子。

在两千多年以前，有一位叫屈原的爱国诗人。他关心国家兴亡，了解百姓们的疾苦，可是国君不听他的意见。直到有一天，国家山河破灭，百姓流离失所。屈原心如刀割，写下绝笔之作《怀沙》后，在农历五月初五那天抱着石头投汩罗江自尽。人们悲痛欲绝，划着龙舟打捞他的尸体，还沿江撒粽子，希望喂饱鱼虾，不让它们夺食屈原的尸体。屈原用自己的生命谱写了一曲爱国主义乐章。千百年来，人们为了纪念他，把农历五月初五那天称为端午节，而吃粽子、赛龙舟便成了端午节的习俗，一直流传到了今天。

今年的端午节，我们一家都忙着包粽子。我先把长长的粽叶卷成圆锥形，然后，妈妈把泡好的糯米、绿豆放进圆锥形粽叶里，加点点水，使糯米更加坚固，不会漏出来，再把口封紧。最后，爸爸用草绳把它捆了个结结实实。一个漂亮的、墨绿色的三角粽诞生了!我很开心，和爸爸妈妈齐心协力，又包了许多个三角粽。蒸好的粽子香气扑鼻，可好吃了!
This year's Dragon Boat Festival, our family are busy making zongzi. First, I rolled the long leaves into a cone. Then, my mother put the soaked glutinous rice and mung beans into the cone-shaped leaves, and added some water to make the glutinous rice stronger without leakage, and then sealed the mouth tightly. Finally, Dad tied it up with straw rope. A beautiful, dark green triangle zongzi was born! I am very happy, and my parents work together, and wrapped a lot of triangle zongzi. Steamed dumplings smell good, but delicious!
